Delete your account
This is permanent. Closing your account deletes it and everything filed against it, and there is no undoing it. You do not need the app installed to do this — signing in below is enough.
What gets deleted
- Your email address, display name and password.
- Your puzzle progress: solved puzzles, streaks, and the results of every daily you have played.
- Your subscription record with us — see the note below.
- Your ability to sign in. The account is closed, and the email address is free to start again with from scratch.
What is kept
Nothing that identifies you. Two things are worth being exact about:
- Anonymous progress on a device stays on that device. Everything is playable without an account, and progress from before you made one — or from a phone you never signed in on — is stored against a random device id that is not connected to your account. Closing the account does not reach it, and it identifies nobody. To clear that too, sign out in the app (which empties it) or uninstall.
- Server logs — IP address, timestamp, endpoint — kept briefly for diagnostics, as any web server does, and not tied to your account.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account here does not cancel an active Google Play or App Store subscription — the store owns that, and it is the only place that can stop the billing. Cancel it in Play Store → Subscriptions (or Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions) first, or you will keep being charged for a corner nobody is sitting in.
